Henning Søndergaard
December 22, 1965 - April 8, 2025
Through his work as a psychologist, researcher, and advocate, Henning advanced person-centered kidney care and improved communication between patients and health care professionals. He promoted the inclusion of patient perspectives in research, treatment, and ethical decision-making, emphasizing dignity and respect in care. Henning served as the first Patient Editor of the Journal of Renal Care and on the Executive Committee of the European Kidney Patients' Federation, where he worked to strengthen collaboration between patients and professionals.
