Ohnn Nahm, MD

February 21, 1967 - May 15, 2017

Ohnn Nahm, M.D., died May 15, 2017, at his Corvallis home. He was 50.

Dr. Nahm was born on February 21, 1967, in Iksan, Korea, to Jongkil and Jonghee Nahm. He moved to the United States as a teenager and continued his studies. He married Seong Ok Kim in Seoul, Korea, and later graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park and Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Maryland medical system in Baltimore and completed a nephrology (kidney specialty) fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore.

Dr. Nahm joined Samaritan Health Services in 2003 and served as the system's Nephrology Program Director while also caring for many patients with kidney disease in Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties. He was known as a highly respected physician who formed strong bonds with his medical colleagues, staff and patients.

In his spare time, Dr. Nahm loved art, classical music, jazz, literature, European movies and watching NBA basketball with his family. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Corvallis.

Dr. Nahm is survived by his wife, Seong; daughter Mimi; son Hanu; his parents; and brothers Sahn and Hahn.
