Educational Symposium
Recognizing and Managing the Itch of CKD-Associated Pruritus: Scratching the Surface
November 05, 2022 | 12:45 PM - 01:45 PM
Location: Regency Ballroom T, Hyatt Regency Orlando
Session Description
CKD-associated pruritus (CKD-aP) is a common and troubling symptom for people living with advanced CKD and ESKD, and it is associated with decreased quality of life. Despite being common among patients with advanced CKD, CKD-aP is a challenging condition for clinicians, and it remains underestimated and underdiagnosed because of its elusive pathogenesis.
This symposium reviews current observations about and understanding of the pathogenesis of CKD-aP, as well as the evidence for current management strategies.
Support is provided by an educational grant from CSL Vifor.
