Clinical Practice Session
Serving the Underserved: Improving Kidney Health in Underserved Populations
November 03, 2023 | 04:30 PM - 06:00 PM
Location: Room 204, Pennsylvania Convention Center
Session Description
Underserved populations and communities are at increased risk of adverse kidney health outcomes and kidney health inequities. Yet, nephrologists are often inadequately equipped to consider how contextual, nonbiologic factors influence kidney health and clinical outcomes in kidney diseases. This session highlights ongoing initiatives happening across the United States to increase education, awareness, and prevention in underserved communities that are at an increased risk for kidney diseases.
