Basic/Clinical Science Session
Integrative Omics Approaches for Proactive and Precision CKD Treatment: From Genotype to Phenotype
November 06, 2025 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Location: Room 372A, Convention Center
Session Description
While genomics studies are widespread, the genome is a relatively poor predictor of the transcriptome, which is only about 20% predictive of the proteome, metabolome, and phenome. This session discusses broad omics topics and their integration with environmental factors and social determinants of health. The session also covers the utility of omics approaches to characterize CKD prognosis and therapeutic strategies.
Learning Objective(s)
- Explain why genomics studies need to be better integrated for enhanced proactive CKD prevention and treatment
- Identify novel omics technologies and their applications in studying the impact of social determinants of health in kidney diseases
- Discuss how exposomics can complement traditional omics to better capture the environmental and psychosocial factors contributing to disease
Learning Pathway(s)
- CKD Non-Dialysis
- Pathology
