Basic/Clinical Science Session
Role of the Immune System in CKD
November 07, 2025 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Location: Room 372A, Convention Center
Session Description
The immune system has been increasingly recognized for its importance in the pathogenesis of diabetic and nondiabetic kidney disease. This session explores the overall evidence of inflammatory and immunologic processes and the potential for targeting them for CKD treatment.
Learning Objective(s)
- List the components of the immune system that mediate the pathogenesis of CKD
- Describe how the innate immune system interacts with the diabetic milieu to propagate disease
- Identify potential targets of the immune system for treatment of diabetic kidney disease
Learning Pathway(s)
- CKD Non-Dialysis
- Diabetic Kidney Disease
