Onconephrology in the Mainstream: Bedside Application of Recent Advances
November 07, 2025 | 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Location: General Assembly B, Convention Center
Session Description
Patients with cancer are at increased risk for kidney-related complications, both related to the underlying condition, as well as to nephrotoxic potential of treatment regimens. With the proliferation of chemotherapeutic options, nephrology professionals must develop expertise in identifying and managing AKI and other associated complications.
Learning Objective(s)
- Describe potential mechanisms for kidney injury in patients with cancer and the potential for translation to therapies
- Explain how to recognize and manage AKI associated with common molecular targeted cancer therapies
- Identify limitations of GFR estimation in patients with cancer
Learning Pathway(s)
- Onconephrology
- AKI and Critical Care
