Translational Session
Moving the Needle in Childhood Nephrotic Syndrome
November 07, 2025 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Location: Room 371A, Convention Center
Session Description
Nephrotic syndrome is the most common kidney disorder in childhood globally. Treatment approaches have remained essentially unchanged, and the cause of nephrotic syndrome remains elusive. Newer data on immune structure, antibodies, and treatment approaches are advancing care. This session highlights innovative studies on podocyte structure and biomarkers, as well as treatment approaches for childhood-onset nephrotic syndrome.
Learning Objective(s)
- Describe the immune structure of nephrotic syndrome and novel biomarkers in nephrotic syndrome
- Discuss the landscape of clinical trials and collaborative studies in nephrotic syndrome
- Summarize the scope and complications related to rituximab use
Learning Pathway(s)
- Pediatric Nephrology
- Glomerular Diseases
