Session Description
Cancer is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in children. Children with ESKD are also at high risk of developing cancer throughout their lifetime. This session highlights common complications that can result from targeted therapeutics in cancer medicine. Children are at risk of AKI, proteinuria, and CKD. This session increases awareness of the risk of cancer therapies and survivorship and long-term cancer risk among those with ESKD. Cases are reviewed to highlight screening, diagnostic, and management issues.
