Session Description
Genetic testing is recommended for select patients with kidney diseases. This session discusses which patients should be considered for genetic testing, including potential living kidney donors and kidney transplant recipients and patients with difficult-to-treat hypertension, urinary stone disease, and CKD.

- Identify which patients might benefit from genetic testing to identify the underlying cause of their kidney diseases
- Explain the potential role of pharmacogenomics in the management of hypertension
- Describe the role of genetic testing in the evaluation of living kidney donors and potential kidney transplant recipients
