Educational Symposium
Inflammation at the Crossroads: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease and CKD Interactions
November 07, 2025 | 12:45 PM - 01:45 PM
Location: Room TBD2, Hilton Americas-Houston
Session Description
This symposium explores the critical role systemic inflammation plays at the intersection of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and CKD. Inflammation is at the crossroads, serving as a pivotal factor in the progression and interplay of these two diseases. Participants gain insights into the underlying mechanisms driving this relationship and learn about emerging therapeutic strategies to address inflammation and improve cardiovascular and kidney outcomes.
Support is provided by an educational grant from Novo Nordisk.
Learning Objective(s)
- Identify key mechanisms linking ASCVD, systemic inflammation, and CKD
- Evaluate the role of systemic inflammation in the progression of both ASCVD and CKD
- Discuss therapeutic strategies targeting inflammation to mitigate progression of ASCVD and CKD
