Meyeon Park, MD, FASN, is a nephrologist and clinical researcher at the University of California, San Francisco. Her research focuses on cardiovascular risk factors in individuals affected by kidney diseases, including the subgroups of patients with AKI, kidney transplant recipients, and PKD.
Dr. Park is interested in novel imaging techniques and biomarkers for risk stratification in these groups, as well as in more general populations with CKD. She is the principal investigator of the Cardiovascular Risk After Kidney Transplantation (CARAKTER) cohort at UCSF, which is a biorepository and clinical database of individuals who have undergone kidney transplants at UCSF since 2015. She is co-principal investigator of the UCSF Clinical Center for the NIH-NIDDK Long-term Kidney Transplantation Outcomes Network (APOLLO) Consortium and is also the medical director of the UCSF Polycystic Kidney Disease Center of Excellence.
