Edde Cinti, MD

April 27, 2021

Dr. Edde Cinti passed away on April 27th in the comfort of his home in Shaker Heights at the age of 82. He was the beloved husband of Judith; loving father of Renzo (Jennifer), Sandro (Billie), Nadia, and Nora; grandfather of Dylan, Jake, Quinn, and Maximilian; brother of Carla Scalish and Quintilia Zeitz; kind uncle to his nieces and nephews and was cherished by many friends and colleagues. Dr. Cinti was a distinguished physician and a lifelong learner. He was born in Italy, educated in Switzerland and a practicing nephrologist in Cleveland for almost 60 years. He was revered in the medical community for his keen intuition, and leaves behind a legacy of integrity and compassion and a profound impact on the lives of his patients and colleagues. When he wasn't helping others, Dr. Cinti spent his time reading and studying languages, classical philosophy, art, history and religions. He loved cooking, traveling, and engaging in heartfelt discourse over a glass of wine. May his memory endure with equal fervor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dr. Cinti to The Gesu Endowment Fund and Doctors Without Borders. Friends can pay their respects on Monday, May 3rd between 4:30-7 p.m. with a short prayer service at 5 p.m. at the Schulte & Mahon-Murphy Funeral Home on 5252 Mayfield Road in Lyndhurst. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 4th at 11 a.m. at Gesu Church on 2470 Miramar Blvd. in University Heights. The Mass will be live streamed on the funeral home website at schultemahonmurphy.com. Dr. Cinti's remains will be laid to rest in his beloved Italy. View obituary »
