Educational Symposium
Role of Complement in ANCA-Associated Vasculitis
November 06, 2025 | 12:45 PM - 01:45 PM
Location: Room TBD2, Hilton Americas-Houston
Session Description
ANCA-associated vasculitis is a multisystem autoimmune disease associated with significant morbidity, both from the disease itself and the treatments used to manage it. Therapeutic options are increasing, offering an opportunity to limit end-organ damage with new combination approaches, and treatment options are likely to increase further over the coming years. This symposium reviews the role of complement activation in driving the tissue damage associated with ANCA-associated vasculitis and the use of complement inhibition in managing the consequent acute and chronic organ dysfunction. Current guidelines and the changing algorithm of treatment of ANCA-associated vasculitis are also discussed.
This activity is supported by educational funding provided by Amgen.
