Discontinuation of International Print Journal Mailings

Effective January 1, 2023, ASN has made the decision to discontinue international mailings for printed copies of the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (JASN) and the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (CJASN). This change will affect all ASN members who reside outside of North America and receive their journals as part of their ASN membership. All journal content will remain online, and existing journal subscriptions will remain intact, via the respective journal websites.

Our publishing partner, Wolters Kluwer, will still be renewing and selling print subscriptions to international institutional subscribers, as well as providing individual print subscriptions for sale to non-members.

This decision was made in part to ensure information is distributed to ASN members and subscribers in a timely fashion. Mailing systems vary significantly by geographical region, and ASN journals are often delivered several weeks after publication, which can conflict with our mission to provide up-to-date scientific content for the kidney community. By prioritizing the online distribution of JASN and CJASN, ASN can ensure that all subscribers receive the latest clinical and scientific information as soon as it becomes available.

Please refer to the FAQ section below for more information on this transition, or contact email@asn-online.org for further assistance.
