ASN's Commitment to Supporting LGBTQ+ Communities

Dear Colleague:

ASN Kidney Week, the world's premier nephrology meeting, is rapidly approaching! This year's in-person meeting will be held in Orlando, FL, November 3-6 and promises to showcase the very best in research and clinical advances.

This year, we are excited to bring our community back together in-person at Kidney Week for the first time since 2019. As a Society, and as a community, we share a common mission to improve the lives of people living with kidney diseases and to stand up—always—to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and health justice in all we do.

In support of these efforts, I am delighted to announce we are making a $25,000 donation to the onePULSE Foundation, to demonstrate our unwavering support of the LGBTQ+ communities. We want to use this opportunity as a show of strength and resilience in solidarity with patients and colleagues everywhere whose dignities and freedoms are threatened. If you would like to contribute to the onePULSE Foundation, donations can be made three different ways:

The ASN leadership, staff, and I are proud to be members of a community that is committed to promoting welcoming, inclusive, and affirming care to all patients. Thank you for your dedication, and I look forward to seeing many of you in Florida!

With warm wishes,
