Call for nephSAP Deputy Editor and Associate Editor
Are you ready to shape the future of nephrology education? ASN is seeking a Deputy Editor and an Associate Editor for the Nephrology Self-Assessment Program (nephSAP), a trusted resource for renewing and refreshing clinical knowledge in nephrology. nephSAP offers kidney health professionals CE credits and MOC points for individuals certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Learning materials include a combination of case vignettes, learning objectives, and reviews of recent publications.
Deputy Editor Responsibilities
Term Length: January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027
- Collaborate with the Editorial Director, the other Deputy Editor, and the Associate Editor to ensure nephSAP adheres to ASN policies.
- Identify relevant relationships with ineligible companies that may lead to bias for authors invited to write for nephSAP.
- Guide the development of each nephSAP issue to maintain content quality and ensure timely delivery.
- Help establish goals that promote excellence in nephSAP content and regularly evaluate nephSAP's performance against those goals.

Associate Editor Responsibilities
Term Length: January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2028
- Ensure that self-assessment questions align with nephSAP writing guidelines.
- Support the Editorial Director and Deputy Editors in upholding ASN's policies.
- Identify relevant relationships with ineligible companies that may lead to bias for authors invited to write for nephSAP.
- Assist in developing each nephSAP issue to maintain content quality and ensure timeliness of delivery.
- Reconcile feedback from the Editorial Director, Deputy Editor, copy editor, and review panel, with a particular focus on the self-assessment questions.
