Basic/Clinical Science Session
Beyond the Silos: Mechanisms of Interorgan Crosstalk in Kidney Health and Diseases
October 23, 2026 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Location: Four Seasons Ballroom 2, Convention Center
Session Description
Advancing the current management of kidney diseases and their secondary organ complications requires clarifying the kidneys' role in multiorgan interactions. This session moves beyond organ-specific silos to explore the complex signaling networks that connect organ systems, including the kidneys, brain, heart, and lungs. By integrating cutting-edge basic science with clinical observation, this session offers a comprehensive perspective on how distinct organs communicate with one another and how decoding this language can lead to novel therapeutic targets.
