Plenaries
ASN offers exciting, dynamic plenaries daily which showcase this extraordinary time in nephrology. The opening plenary on Thursday, October 22 features the ASN President's Medal presentation to William E. Flanary, MD ("Dr. Glaucomflecken"), ASN President's Address, the state-of-the-art lecture by Michel Sadelain, MD, PhD, and featured high-impact clinical trials.
On Friday, October 23, the plenary features award presentations and the state-of-the-art lecture "New Frontiers in Air Pollution and Public Health" by Barbara J. Finlayson-Pitts, PhD.
On Saturday, October 24, the plenary features award presentations and the state-of-the-art lecture "RNAi: A Molecular Spark in an Information Inferno" by Craig C. Mello, PhD.
The full plenary on Sunday, October 25 is focused on "Bridging Breakthrough Science into Real-World Care: Challenges and Opportunities for the Nephrologist" with an expert panel: Ravi I. Thadhani, MD, MPH (moderator), Jessica L. Mega, MD, MPH, Rachael L. Morton, MSc, PhD.
Late-Breaking Abstracts
ASN welcomes randomized trials (Phase 2, 3, 4) that will have significant impact on clinical practice on all topics touching kidney diseases including AKI, CKD, Diabetes, Dialysis, Genetic Diseases, Glomerular Diseases, Hypertension, Kidney Stones, Pediatrics, Transplantation, and more. We also welcome: exceptional Phase 2 trials with novel prospective interventions; significant secondary data analysis of previously presented or published RCTs; and practice-changing observational studies or registries (with preference to multicenter studies with a large sample size).
The submission period opens on Wednesday, July 8, and closes on Wednesday, September 2, at 2:00 p.m. EDT.
