Basic/Clinical Science Session
Is Hemodiafiltration the New Standard?
October 24, 2026 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Location: Room 501, Convention Center
Session Description
Several studies support the use of hemodiafiltration (HDF) for patients with ESKD. This session reviews recent studies and evidence on the potential benefits of HDF. Presentations explore which patients could derive the greatest benefit from HDF and discuss possible strategies and barriers to its wider adoption as a treatment for ESKD.
Learning Objective(s)
- Analyze evidence on the benefits of HDF for the treatment of kidney failure
- Identify which patients could benefit the most from HDF
- Evaluate the potential benefits of HDF on inflammation
- Compare potential advantages and disadvantages of wider implementation of HDF
Learning Pathway(s)
- Dialysis
