Session Description
The pathogenesis of kidney stones is multifactorial. Thus, a multidisciplinary team is needed to assess underlying biochemical and genetic risk factors, understand behavioral and environmental contributions, and design an individualized treatment strategy. Access to skilled urologic care is also essential for symptomatic, large, or infected stones. This session provides an overview of the elements of a successful kidney stone treatment team.
