Small Clone, Big Consequences: Treating Monoclonal Gammopathy of Renal Significance in the Modern Era
October 24, 2026 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Location: Room 107, Convention Center
Session Description
Monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance (MGRS) presents unique therapeutic challenges at the intersection of nephrology and hematology. This session reviews contemporary approaches to clone-directed therapy, focusing on treatment indications, regimen selection, response assessment, and care coordination to improve kidney outcomes while balancing hematologic risk.
Learning Objective(s)
- Compare available treatment strategies for plasma cell- and B cell-driven MGRS, including proteasome inhibitors, immunotherapies, and emerging targeted agents
- Describe principles of treatment selection and response assessment to optimize kidney outcomes while minimizing therapy-related toxicity
- Identify kidney biopsy and hematologic features that indicate the need for clone-directed therapy in patients with MGRS
Learning Pathway(s)
- Glomerular Diseases
- Onconephrology
