Idiopathic Nephrotic Syndrome: Getting Less Idiopathic?

Session Description
Rapid advances have deepened our understanding of the pathogenesis of nephrotic syndromes, including the identification of novel autoantibodies directed against podocytes and a clearer picture of the genetic basis of these syndromes in children. With better insight into the underlying biology of minimal change disease and FSGS, there are now opportunities to personalize risk prediction and treatment for these glomerular diseases. This symposium reviews the current state of the art in the pathogenesis of these podocytopathies and emerging treatment approaches.
Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis to fully paid Annual Meeting participants. Doors open approximately 15 minutes prior to each symposium. When a room reaches capacity, ASN will shut down access to the room. No other participants will be allowed to enter the room, regardless of the number of participants who exit the room during the activity.
