Accelerating Development of Therapies for APOL1-Mediated Kidney Disease

Session Description
This symposium focuses on the roles and responsibilities of clinicians, patients, and researchers in accelerating the clinical development of therapies for APOL1-mediated kidney disease (AMKD). Experts discuss the rationale and strategies for screening patients and their families for AMKD, present methodologic considerations for designing pivotal clinical trials, and explore clinician and patient perspectives on AMKD management. The significance of AMKD is considered in the context of population health.
Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis to fully paid Annual Meeting participants. Doors open approximately 15 minutes prior to each symposium. When a room reaches capacity, ASN will shut down access to the room. No other participants will be allowed to enter the room, regardless of the number of participants who exit the room during the activity.
