Redefining the IgAN Paradigm: Early Detection, Targeted Immunotherapy, and Clinical Reality

Session Description

As the treatment of IgAN evolves, therapies targeting a proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL) and B cell-activating factor (BAFF) are emerging as cornerstones of management. Leading experts discuss APRIL and BAFF dysregulation, the rise of predictive biomarkers beyond standard eGFR and proteinuria, and the need to incorporate patient-reported outcomes (PROs). This symposium highlights a holistic approach to care that integrates molecular innovation, clinical trial data, and recent international guidelines to develop a pragmatic strategy for long-term kidney preservation and improved quality of life.

Doors open around 12:30 p.m. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis to fully paid Annual Meeting participants. When a room reaches capacity, ASN will close the room, and no other participants will be allowed to enter, regardless of how many exit.
