Unlocking Value: A Compensation and Advocacy Toolkit for Transplant Nephrologists

Session Description
Transplant nephrologists are indispensable to the care of patients with kidney failure, yet much of the work they do generates no billable revenue and goes unrecognized in conventional productivity metrics. This event introduces a practical toolkit that quantifies nonbillable effort, provides compensation benchmarking data, and equips transplant nephrologists to articulate their value clearly and consistently to division chiefs, department chairs, and health system leaders. A panel of experienced transplant nephrologists walks through the toolkit, describes how different practice models apply it, and takes questions to help participants adapt it locally for negotiation and advocacy.
